Origin

The Alstroemeria cutflower comes from South America, specifically the Andes Mountains in countries like Peru and Chile. They are often called the ‘Inca Lily’ due to their origin.

The Alstroemeria is a popular cut flower. They are available in different colours, such as pink, orange, yellow or white. A unique feature of the Alstroemeria are its leaves, which are long and narrow.

Alstroemeria is a flower that can bloom almost all year round, depending on where it is grown. However, the peak blooming season is usually from spring to autumn.
