Our Journey
We opened our doors on August 22nd, 2004, operating in partnership with Country Baskets opposite the Blochairn Wholesale Market (Junction 14 of the M8). J. van VLIET provides the freshest flowers and plants, while Country Baskets supplies a wide range of sundries.
Reliable Transport and Fresh Deliveries
Utilizing our own transport company, J. van VLIET Transport BV, we receive deliveries of fresh flowers from the Netherlands five times a week. This ensures daily top-ups with the freshest flowers possible and offers more options for last-minute orders of out-of-stock products, sourced specifically for you from our companies in the Netherlands.
Shipment Schedule
Our fresh arrivals of flowers and plants from the Netherlands are as follows:
- Monday auction: Arrives Tuesday around 7 am
- Wednesday auction: Arrives Thursday morning around 8 am
- Friday auction: Arrives Saturday night in time for Sunday opening
With three deliveries per week into Glasgow, we ensure our customers have access to the freshest products.
Delivery Service
We are continually improving our overnight service to bring you flowers and plants even faster from the Netherlands to Glasgow. We use five delivery vans to ensure prompt delivery across the region, seven days a week:
- To the East: As far as Livingston, Junction 3 M8
- To the North East: As far as Stirling
- To the North and West: As far as Helensburgh
- To the South and West: As far as Girvan and throughout Ayrshire
