Wreath

Origin

The first ever Advent wreath was made of an old wagon wheel, which indicates that the inventor did look with one eye to the ancient traditions of wreaths honouring the invention of the wheel.

Characteristics

The leaves that are used in wreaths normally stay green the entire year. Wreaths come in all sorts and forms. The fact there are so many kinds of wreaths makes them extremely popular. You never get tired of it.

Care

Wreaths are very thorough so it’s not a problem to display it outside. There is enough humidity outside which results in the wreath being pretty for a long time. It doesn’t need a lot of care if it’s outside. When you like your wreath inside, you can use a plant sprayer to give it water. Spray it for a bit every day just to make sure the wreath doesn’t dry out.

Blooming time

Wreaths are a great addition to a home in every season but are especially popular during Christmas. The wreath creates atmosphere and is a great complement to a Christmas tree or Christmas piece. The circular form of the wreath stands for eternal life and eternal love because a wreath doesn’t have a starting or ending point. It also symbolizes luck, life and growth during cold winter months.
