Philodendron

Origin

Philodendrons are a diverse genus of plants native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America.

Characteristics

The genus Philodendron is incredibly diverse, with more than 450 known species. The leaves come in all shapes, sizes and colours. Many Philodendrons are climbing plants, with aerial roots that they use to attach themselves to surfaces as they grow.

Care

Philodendrons are generally easy to care for. They thrive in bright, indirect sunlight. Regular watering will keep your Philodendron happy.  Because of their climbing nature, some Philodendrons may benefit from a moss pole or lath for support.
