Deliflor

Deliflor is a standout in the chrysanthemum industry with a careful process for developing new varieties. Each year, they plant about 400,000 seeds from new crosses, but only 10 make it to the commercial market. This strict selection ensures that only the best varieties with good growing traits are introduced, a journey that takes about three years of testing.

A Journey Through History

Deliflor has been a big name in the chrysanthemum world for 25 years. The company started from the merge of several businesses and has become an innovative market leader with a global reach.

In 1980, Beekenkamp acquired Lyraflor. In 1998, they acquired Delta Stek and partnered with Hoek Breeding, leading to the name change to Deliflor. Between 1995 and 2005, production locations were established in Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia, benefiting from favorable climates. In 2008, Deliflor expanded to Japan and Colombia, allowing targeted service to the Asian market and the markets in the USA and Canada. Deliflor is part of the Beekenkamp Group, a family business since 1951 with over 2,900 employees worldwide and 90 hectares of greenhouse space.
