Founded by Peter van de Werken in 1993 in Nederhemert, this family-run business has flourished over the years, expanding to 7 hectares of flower production in Zaltbommel. Nestled in the picturesque Bommelerwaard, between the Maas and Waal rivers, a passionate team works tirelessly every day to cultivate beautiful, resilient flowers.

River Flowers specializes in growing chrysanthemums from cuttings, a process that takes about 8 weeks from start to finish. Each year, they produce an astounding 21 million chrysanthemums—an incredible feat that speaks to their dedication and expertise.

Innovation and sustainability are at the heart of River Flowers’ operations. They are currently upgrading their greenhouses with special LED lights that provide optimal growing conditions for chrysanthemums while being more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
