- JOB PURPOSE
- Working as part of a team assisting the Sundries Manager with the work that has to be carried out in the department.
- Assisting customers where necessary to achieve a positive shopping experience.

- MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- 1 Product presentation and pricing
- Help to unload and unpack the products.
- Ensure deliveries match purchase orders.
- Check that supplier has sent correct quality and quantity and products meet the Customer needs.
- Ensure all products are fully unpacked, presented correctly, empty cardboard is removed, dust is removed and products are condensed together.
- Ensure all products are correctly bar coded on time and/or price is correctly displayed on shelf.
- 2. Customer Orders
- Selection and packing of customer orders in preparation for daily deliveries.
- Take orders from Customers. Check with Manager to see if product is available where required.
- Phone Customers when orders have arrived and monitor that they have been collected (no later than two weeks)
- 3. Stock Control
- Helping with the price reduction of older products and help controlling the wastage/breakage.
- Advise Manager on successful/poor product sales to assist with the correct buying levels.
- Be vigilant on the shop floor to help avoid pilfering.
- Carry out/assist with the stock take.
- 4. General Jobs
- Helping to load/unload the vans.
- Assisting customers with heavy products/customer trolley’s etc.
- Ensuring that the department is kept swept, making it attractive to customers.
- To assist, as required, in all other areas of the JVV Cash and Carry.
- Ensure Department and Loading Bay/Storage room is organised, tidy and efficient.
- Contributing to a safe working place and comply with the company Health and Safety Procedures.

We offer
- Hours of work – 04:30am to 12:00pm Monday to Friday (Saturday on a pro rata basis)
- Florist trade knowledge and experience preferred
- IT literate/training given
